...as new local team is recruited to help drive sales
Scottish water and soft drinks manufacturer, Sangs (Banff) Ltd, has moved its telesales function back home to Macduff from Glasgow, recruiting four local people to manage the function from its manufacturing and warehouse facility in the town’s Gamrie Road.
The move is all part of a drive to grow sales in Scotland, particularly the North East, as production output is increased at Macduff to 30,000 bottles per hour, 240,000 each day and 1.2 million weekly.
“This brings our telesales team under one roof at Gamrie Road, which serves as the head office for our UK sales function, which we are also in the process of bolstering,” said Andy Anderson, managing director of Sangs.
“For the past eight months, we contracted out telesales to Glasgow as an interim measure during the restructuring of the business. Now it makes perfect sense to bring the business home and consolidate sales operations at Macduff. We believe this move keeps the team tight and will prove a great success for the business in the months and years to come.”
The new telesales team are Claire Watt and Angela Duguid from Banff, Jennie Smith and Liza Thomson from Macduff, and Arlene Quinn from Buckie.
